2nd Annual Acumen Solutions Race for a Cause 8K Race

Race Registration Proceeds to Benefit 12 Local Charities

Acumen Solutions, an international leader in business and technology consulting, announced today that two-thousand dollars in combined prizes will be awarded to race winners across different categories for its second annual Acumen Solutions Race for a Cause™ 8K and 1-Mile Fun Run on Sunday, October 17, 2010 in Arlington, VA.  

The 1 mile format has been added this year to give families and young runners a chance to participate. The race gives all registrants the unique opportunity to choose their charitable preference by picking from the following organizations listed below.

Over the years, Acumen Solutions has developed many innovative ways to 

encourage their employees’ support of non-profits in their communities.  

Acumen Solutions’ previous 10K road races and last year’s Acumen Solutions Race for a Cause 8K have contributed over $125,000 to benefit local nonprofits. The company has contributed over $1 million dollars to charitable causes since its inception.

1-Mile Fun Run:

The race will be on a fast out-and-back, flat course that begins and ends on North Quincy Street - near the intersection of Wilson Boulevard in Arlington, VA. The event is produced in partnership with Potomac River Running and runners of all levels, as well as walkers, are encouraged to participate.
